At first glance it appears that bones are not deforming the mesh of a character after skin has been applied, but after moving forward and back one key frame in time the mesh deforms.

It seems that it is a simple refresh problem and that I am forcing an update by pressing ". "(froward one frame) and then "," (one frame back.

Is there a preference that is unchecked somewhere that that makes the mesh not want to initially update with the bones repositioning?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
