Hey all I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with losing the abilty to move a floating panel to the tab panel.

I am trying to move the main toolbar the tab panel and it is not available as an option anymore yet i did it on the last install.

Max 5.1 and Windows XP Pro

Yes it was a feature on past versions of max, and yes it was removed from the latest release.

Rumors abound as to the reason. Perhaps it was a patent dispute with Adobe and Macromedia about dockable palettes.

Though no one at Discreet is talking.

This has been complained about at length on Discreet's 3ds max webboard, so at the least you can be sure Discreet is aware of the issue.

THanks for the update on what is going on with this. It was really nice being able to put the main toolbar and the reactor toolbar into the tab panel. Guess its time for floaters again.
