View Full Version : Grouping clusters with their objects

I guess I am not exactly understanding clusters. I create a spline, select all the cvs and create a cluster (which I later plan on deforming by adjusting the weights). Now when it comes to overall translation I am getting a little confused. I need to be able to move all my objects as a character, so I am trying to figure out how to group/parent the clusters relative to the spline on which they are affecting.

If I group them then they don't move proportionally together when translating.
If I parent the cluster to the spline they also don't stay together.

Am I getting double translations?

pretty likely.
set the cluster to relative, so deformation is only the movement of the cluster in whatever space it is currently in (ie, its parent's, so you can group it anywhere).

Thanks... I thought that I had tried that but I had so many in my scene I may have been setting a different one than I was moving??

This worked :applause:
