ok so here are the uploaded images plus a couple more... its a shame I can`t use that tire as its 56by 385 uvs....
so i am thinking of displacements
Guys I still need pointers on creating the window trims u know the rubbery part that holds the windows...
good work!
The shape is there..
to me it look like the curves dont flow...
U know.. theres hard edges between the body of the car and the top of the wheel pieces ... i dont know if you understand lol
I never saw this model of car before but the front end bumper looks a bit strange to me...
Keep us in touch as soon you done something new :)

the bumper has big headlights wich i haven`t built since first i wana do the window trim
theyre all different patches so curve flow is only an issue when surfaces need to stay tangent and finally the top of the wheel is supposed to look like that

how are u modeling it?
squeige
03-12-2003, 03:42 AM
using nurbs patch modeling techniques and trims for the window trims (rubber parts) mainly spline to create a shape and then attaching and detaching to build tangency

:buttrock: :buttrock: :buttrock:
no, that can`t be the final version.
why don't you model out the lights and the inside part of the car.
you started pretty good but it seems that you lost your motivation during the time.
it's a tricky car to model, i started one some time ago, but i have no time to finnish it.
there are some details on your model, which do not fit to the real car. try to do it as exact as possible to the real 350 Z. if you want some reference images here are some links:
http://www.my350z.com (huge gallery, you have to register)
http://www.nissanusa.com/vehicles/MediaGallery/0,9441,23261,00.html (official nissan page)
by the way, that's the status of my nissan, but i think it will take me another 10 years to find some time to work on it:hmm:
