View Full Version : reflection problem !

need help on this case!

i want some reflection of the cube on the floor but it doesn't work (after fewer hours spend in maya help and google to find any solution )

here is the setting:

i'm using an area light for key light. (shadow ray 10 and ray limit 10)
i also used physical sky for final gathering.
i checked all the raytrace option (also in mental ray ).

for the environment i put a physical fog.

mental ray is set on preview final gathering (for the begining...)

for the floor i put a simple blinn material.
reflection is set to 0.5
all render flag are checked for al object

so i don't understand what is wrong.

if anyone have advices..... ( please!)

Did you check the ray limits in the final gather sub box? It has another set of reflection, refraction and max rays.

yes i did it!

but now it work (when i rebooted maya)
don't understand what happened.
