When modeling a character who will be wearing clothes, do you model the character nude first, then add clothes or just do the model it with clothes to start. And if you do it without clothes first, how detailed do you get?

Also, does anyone want to share about modeling tight fitting clothes (t-shirts, pants, underware, etc) ? or point to a good tutorial on the subject. Do you just model the verts close to the old model, duplicate part of the body, use some sort of topology snapping tool? Thanks for any help.

It really depends on your needs. Personally I ususally model nude characters then add clothes because I often reuse them, or parts of them, for other projects. The detail is also up to you but if whever project you are modeling for never shows the character without clothes then you may as well just model it with only clothes on. The best reason to model a character without clothes first is for autonomical reasons. If you just model the clothes theres a large chance that it will not look like a human. It all boils down to your preference and the projects' needs. :)
