Hi,

I would like to present a 3D animated short that I produced/directed during the past year with a team of 25 students from the American University in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

AUD 101 is a short comedy about the adventures of two freshmen students during their first day at the American University in Dubai. It sheds the light over some of the wrong practices that students often do and shows fictional consequences for them.

The movie was produced by 25 students from all majors of the university. It allowed Visual Communication students to design the 2D artwork, storyboards and logos. Interior designers modeled the scenery after the real university environment. IT students handled animation and infrastructure setup while business students arranged for the sponsorships.
The movie features original music and two theme songs (intro and outro) composed and written by the students as well.

Yeah this is nice. This remind me the old days at univeristy.


anyway, the story is nice and interesting:) I like the texture of characters:love:
but there is some moment the lip sync is out of place :wise: ...the character animation not bad but need more tweaking and refine :D ....

In general, I enjoyed watching the movie and the making of....

the intro is sooo long. also i know its not your fault but compressed sound is very annoying, or rather low quality.. umm the animation needs alot of work.. looks like its posed from one to another.. also looks very linear. i like the voice talent.. i also like the registration part. cool graphics.. overall the scene reminds me of the sims.. sorry couldnt finish the rest

so i got my coffee and im finishing the rest.. i like twist at the end .. also those planes were pretty awesome...

You should maybe think of doing a few shorts using the characters. I really like the concept. Some points I noticed was the camera movement is very harsh, you could ease the ins and outs to make it smoother.

glad you like it.

Producing a mini series sounds interesting but the problem is with finding the right budget and dedicated team. Also I wish I had more people replying with their comments to get some feedback but I dont know why this is not happening.

You should see if you can make the improvments that people have sugested. The animation particulary and keep tweaking it. It doesnt really seem finished. The main things I liked about the narrative were the two characters but you did not take it very far which was a little disapointing. If you post your film in the critque forums I am sure many people will have more comments and some helpful tips.

yeah, I guess the animation should have been much faster as it will give more character to the actors.
