Hi all!
I have done a quick search through here and found most have the typical "corrupt" max file problems and "bugs" ect.
I have certainly had those as well, but here is a reoccuring problem and is something I cannot understand.
I have created a scene and have my full character rig inside of it and start animating.
The problem --> What is happening is that as I'm keying in my animations, %50 of the time, the file gets corrupted because of the actual bones and animation.
How do I know it's specifically the animated rig? Well, I start a new scene and try to merge everything in it one at a time to see what object is screwing up my file, and it is ALWAYS any part of the characters rig that is animated, never anything that is not animated.
I am not using any scripts or anything fancy. Just bones with IK/FK applied, characters mesh skinned and then animated. Very simple but effective setup.
Seems like everyone else has modelling bugs, but has anyone had this kind of object corruption --> specific to bones and keyed animation?

Sigh...no one animates on here with characters or has any ideas? :)

Yeh, lack of responses indeed. In my case, I simply haven't encountered that.

.. well, actually it's been years I think since I had my last corrupted file at all. Back in the days of using Windows 98 and such I'd say. ..on that note, what OS are you running?... 2k or XP I hope?

But yeah, idunno man..

Xp pro is what I'm using.
Since most people on here talk more about modelling than animating and rigging, perhaps that is why I am not getting many troubleshooting ideas. Ah well, guess I'll tough it out...thanks :)
