Title: Foothill Home
Name: John Molino
Country: USA
Software: Vue
Created in Vue Infinate. The majority of time spent on this image went to the lighting. I wanted both the back hills and cabins to be lite. Thanks for looking - all comments and feedback are welcome.

I liked this a lot, it has the presence of a painting. The lighting is what detracts from it. Do you have a light source very close above the tree? The impression is that it looks like a studio set with a lime light on the tree.
Have you tried a light dome of directional lights, even though it looks like it's an overcast day? Perhaps the post work causes it. Have you used a calibrated screen for post/lighting?
Other than that, the image really impressed me. A shimmer in the backdrop, good color and composition... very nice indeed.

Really good job. I love the lighting and texturing. The rocks in the forground, in the river, and the water may need a little work, but the plants and building look very good. I really like the soft lighting and the sky also is very good.
