This is a sort of self training demo in preparation for the main action in Armored Cav (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?p=4296092). My creating this is a sort of broken down step by step self lesson in creating the Armored Cav (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?p=4296092) video correctly. The story behind the animations is as said a series of training sessions for both Terran and Clan Wolverine forces. There are four sessions starting with:

1. Aircraft Test
Interception/base attack- 2 F-22s are dispatched to destroy an as yet unnamed airbase. From their target airbase two F-42s are dispatched to intercept and stop their attack.

My critical areas
1- First of I want to better my aircraft animations, as evidenced in Chase, my additon to the 12th Speed Animation Thread.
2- As doing this I began to see with clearer eyes the importance of the camera telling the story, I'm working on this too.
3- My texturing and modeling will also be on display, though not as high a resolution quality as predicted but if anyone wants a higher resolution image or video just lemme kno n I'll put one up.
4- Particle work; flames and stuff are alright to do, but contrails and explosions are another matter.
5- Scene creation: TS cannot do '3d' clouds without some 'extra work' only I don't kno what that 'extra work' is. Then there's the terrain itself. Aside from the obvious coloring issue, what else can I do? I just noticed my lighting and shadows aren't working too well. (I'm using the Infinite light in TS; 6 lights, 1 as actual 'sun', rest to brighten up the scene)
6- Any other things you may notice.

I've begun filming for the next Wargames episode/session/whatever. How's it so far? The song's here: Fadeout by Matt "Mothergoat" Cox (http://www.mothergoat.net/music.php)
1st Terran Vehicle Test:

PS: I must warn you: this clip hasn't been updated since late January. At the time of this post I am about 95-97% near completion.

So I might as well ask here:

Multiple Rocket Launch Artillery system. Designed this one as a mixed breed with the mobility of HIMARS with the firepower of the original MLRS.

I wanna model (and animate) missile strike destruction of my HIMARS, but I don't know where to start. I can handle the particles but am not sure what to do with the actual damage modeling. Help plz.

Pretty cool clip. I really liked how you did a documentary style camera. There were camera hitches here and there, but those could be smoothed out. Also, the simple models might not stand out so much if you put in come concussion or blast sound effects.

It might be my own personal thing, but I'm just tired of seeing 'Matrix' style shots, like the one you have at the very beginning.

Otherwise, the clip had good energy, cool music and action choices.

The matrix effect was by accident. The scene doesn't stop as the normal matrix effect does. + it was ma 1st matrix effect, that's another reason i kept it.
