or should i say the easier procedure... im just starting to
learn modeling and animation with 3ds max and my mind
is aching on how to control those meshes when im using
bipe. :scream: :scream: the envelopes gives me a headache 2.
well here's the model im making... ;)

biped is the easiest to set up by far. but getting awakward models to fit the biped can take some time, and i dont thing there is an easier answer!
but you have more control making your own bones and IK rig. try both ways coz you will need to know both, one for bipeds and the bones for other multi limbed creatures.
trial and error will be the order of the day, plus a handy copy of the online tutorials.

thanks for the advise :) but i have this last question,
ive been working with this for hours and still can't find
what wrong procedure im making:scream: . a part of the
model i'm making deforms everytime i edit the
physique/envelope. Hope to hear some more advice and
thanks.

Your gifs are too small to see clearly, and we need more information to help. Physique envelopes are supposed to deform the mesh. If you're having a problem with physique, then try skin instead. It's pretty good and the weight table helps a lot.

mess with the envelopes A LOT. and pay attention to what envelopes r affecting which verts. if some verts r bein affected, exclude them.
