right hi

heres what i need to do, my client has this footage, he needs the "hero character" to have a glow around. simple enough right
just animate a mask, but heres my problem.

he wants the guys arm to glow when it crosses over his body (check out the pics, just a rough photoshop paint over). the problem is well the intersecting arm and body, causes unwanted glow area's. know what i mean?

the glow also needs to come from behind the character, so i can't just paint ontop of it (which would be easier)

any "fast" solutions, besides using a mask on a mask on a mask on a mask?

Howzit Jason

I don't think that you have an easy option here dude. What i would do is mask him out so that the glow comes from behind and add individual strokes to the overlapping anatomy.

If you have access to trapcode shine you could make some cool effects and transitions with this clip.

hey fede

thx for the reply, yeah i'v been playing around with stokes and shine:thumbsup:
the thing is that i have like 4 or 5 masks at the moment, and the project is 30 seconds, so keyframing all the masks over that amount of time is well, just a pain in the ass!
