Can anyone tell me how many threads Maya 8.5 Unlimited (educational version) will allow you to render with in both mental ray and the software renderer? No one seems to know the answer to this question, even the staff at autodesk. I'm using a dual quad core system and I want to know if the educational version will allow me to utilize all 8 cores? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I'm not using the educational version, but I'm also on a dual Quad-core on x64 and I'm using 8 threads without problem on Maya 8.5 UL/Mental Ray...

I would be surprised if this was different for the educational version.

im pretty sure it mentioned in the help section. cant say for sure, but i might remember something about educational cant use all 8 threads. not sure about how many thought
