I am trying to use the tack tool to position and align a button to a bezel. When I follow the example in the modo help file and video, modo just throws my button to a (seemingly) random location in the scene. If I try the tack tool in a simple scene, such as tacking a cube to a sphere, the tool works fine. What's up with this?

Modo Settings:

Action Center: Automatic
Symetry: Off
Fall Off: none
Snap: none

Tack Tool Settings:

Align: Checked
Offset: 0 m
Move connected vertices: checked
Move to closest element: unchecked

Thanks for any insight you may be able to offer,

Well,

I think I solved my own problem.

I cut up both faces, ensuring that each was made of quads. Ta-da! The tack tool worked.

I guess if anyone else has this problem - here is a possible solution for you...
