View Full Version : is metal ray the default render engine in Maya 4.5??

hi, i 'm using maya 4.0, and i have been hearing ppl using metal ray with maya these days, so i wonder if metal ray is a plug-in for maya 4.5 ( or earlier ) or it comes with maya 4.5 as the default render engine?? thz!

Mental Ray for Maya is a free downloadable plugin for Maya 4.5+

I use it as my default renderer!
