What is the best way to set up an automatic saving system in maya 3?

I am having trouble setting up ajrAutoSave.mel that I have d/loaded from highend3d.com, has anybody used this?

Best to save in increments IMO

Yeah, but how do I make it work? Do I have to set up an enviroment variable? Or reference it from a startup script?

Ive never used the ajrAutoSave.mel sorry. Im just talking about my personal preference.

I save in increments ( file1.mb , file2.mb, file3.mb ). Its not automatic. I save whenever Ive made a major change to a scene or model. Maybe every 15 - 30 minutes.

Try contacting the mel scripts author.
