hi everybody,

i'm trying to figure out how to create a shader that looks like the material they've used for the skin of Tim Burton's characters in Corpse Bride. some exambles:

as far as i know they've used baked foam with silicone sprayed all over it but in matters of emulating such a look i have to confess, i'm little overburden. i have allready made some trials in maya with ambient occlusion and sss all ending up with no satisfying results. and since i'm very new to self-made shaders i don't know if i can do this without assistance. so i would need a little help getting this shader right. any hints or links are welcome.

thanks in advance

the shader to do that doesnt seem like anything more than a lambert, there's no specular or subsurface, the trick is just getting that global illumination looks and ambient occlusion then just have a strong directional light

ok, after long nights browsing the internet i assume that there's no wonder recipe for such a look. anyhow, running the shader with a high "spread" value for the AO, among others, gets me some good results. sorry, donno how to add some images so i can't show my renderings.
