Hello,
I have a problem - I cant disable calculation finalGather for specified object.
Is possible to do it?

flags in properties of object like a generate/recieve global illumination don't work! (3dsmax9)

For fotons this flags are working,
for fg NOT!

Only way to exclude objects from FG is to hide them during the FG calculation faze, freeze the FG, unhide and re-render.

You can exclude objects from FG by using a "ray switcher" shader. Head over to maxplugins.de and run a search through the mental ray shader section for "final gather" or "ray switch" and you should find a few shaders to help out.
