Now I just need to learn how to texture, and animate the warhead release. Comments and crits welcome, but suggestions are appreciated even more.

The theory behind this missile is that in the future, close-range point defense weapons will be quite advanced, and therefore attackers will need to overwhelm the defense with a huge number of fast moving warheads.
The missile follows a semi-random course towards it's target to make it harder for the defense to lock on, or use long range lasers against it.
The missile release the warheads a medium distance from the ship (after it has already reached 90% speed) then accelerates one more time and directs an EMP blast toward the target in an attempt to scramble the detector systems so the warheads can slip in.

the engine seems to be a let down, you got this awesome style of angular (which can deflect sensors) but then the "jet" is just an "oldschool" nozzel... next post may have an idea for you.

You're right, that didn't really fit the style of the rest of the missile. How is this?

much nice :D
Pretty nice!!
I may suggest that you put a wing or something to stabilize de missile...
U know.. 4 wings maybe..
And Maybe a larger ending... You'll probably have a big blast of fire comming out from there when the warheard will be lauched?...
and you only got like 6 tiny holes to let the burst go out..
The rest look pretty good! You did a nice job

Thanks.
There's not much point in putting wings on as they don't do much in space. Originally I intended for it to be a single booster, with the small thrusters on the nose for steering, but I redid the engines at Bitmaps suggestion so now it doesn't even need the nose thrusters.
The warheads are ejected from the sides in a halo shape (hence the name of the missile), and detonate when as they pass by their target. The target is then hit by tactical nuke explosions from all sides (provided point defense doesn't knock some out).

My first try at animating and a look at the particle systems for the exhaust. Suggestions wanted!

I would still suggest the nose thrusters... you try turning a cart with a big pipe sticking off the end.... even in space its no easy feat. (becuase it drifts). So if you want to make it past the defensive systems I would suggest the same type of thrusters around the end of the nose (end being toward the back)
