AfterFX is for Compositing, 2D/Graphics Animation, ColorCorrection. Its in the Combustion, Shake, FFI "Family".

Premiere is for VideoEditing, Capture/print, Minor FX, etc...
Its in the Finalcut, Speedrazor, edit "Family".
