Title: Film Noir Showreel Menu
Name: Lee Sullivan
Country: United Kingdom
Software: Maya, Photoshop

I produced this render to be used as a menu image for an interactive portfolio and website I am creating to showcase my work. The scene was modeled in Maya and lit in Turtle. All the textures as well as little after-touching to make it look like an old movie were produced in Photoshop. The visual look I was trying to achieve was 1950's film noir which will be reflected throughout the rest of the project.

Any comments are welcome.

Thanks.

Very cool. Please, please list the website when you finish it. I'd love to see it's interactivity.

Great work Lee. I'm intrigued, did you texture in colour and create the film noir look in lighting/post?

Thank you for all your kind words. I thought I would post a couple more images of my work in progress reel for those who expressed an interest. Like I mentioned before the visual style behind it is 1950's, Film Noir, Old Movie. I have included a sample of the menu text that will appear alongside a state change or sound effect when you roll the mouse over it.

The textures by the way were produced in colour then converted to black and white before scene assembly and rendering in Maya.
