1012 - Koekebakker wins for Angle, Colour and Light (hm Mats Gustafsson, Robertt, Kirt, idoodles, LDiehl, Daniel68)
1011 - lonerXtreme (hm Shawshank, Cyanid, art2)
1010 - Shawshank, this was hard, due to feedback and tweaks this was between Shawshank and itsGuido (both NZers!!) Shawshank just won out for composition and interesting concept! (hm EVERYBODY ELSE)
1009 - daniel68 - amazing brush effect and serene colours (hm xodibox, specialbrew and metinicus)
1008 - cyanid for energy (again hms for everyone esp. Dreammaster for effort, Daniel for concept)
1007 - Cgad - nice character concept!
1006 - elzilcho - only just won over Robertt on a count of crazy originality!

Level up - DreamMaster
Fastest Draw - 1010 Trio of Hunters - itsGuido - looks fast and loose and gets the point across perfectly

Danielh, that Japanese morning was verry nice!

While doing my usual quick scan of cgtalk front-page, "something looks oddly familiar" I said to myself and clicked on it. Then I realized that's my little sketch. :)

Quite a surprise for me. Thank you guys.

One think for sure, I get fascinated by all different kind of interpretations of given topics at DSF. it's also quite therapeutic for me to share my own version of it. No reference, no contemplation over this and that. I grab my stylus, open a new document and go for it. What ever comes out is my visceral reaction as an artist.
Sometimes it turns out good, sometimes not. Anywise it's a valuable exercise to come to your own style as an artist and DSF is great place to experiment with it.
