Heya mm...
I can see benefits from both scene level and object level GI, but I think a good compromise would be to handle the GI on a scene level with the ability to exclude scene objects from the GI calculations...perhaps flagging them in the Object browser window.
P.S.
Any luck getting my ferret to render w/ Ribbit? ;)
