View Full Version : African Bushman God
jaydmax 03-31-2002, 02:11 PM My concept for this month's challenge is a African Bushman god. Here are some sketches and the model still in progress.
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Hey nice work so far....
ermmm, I do feel like I should be the voice of doom here though :p
Umm, how do I put this?
Errr, bushmen just don't look like that. Bushmen are actually very small, short, skinny people (even when they are perfectly healthy, it's genetic). So I'm sure they wouldn't have visualised their gods like this. They also don't have their hair in dreadlocks, ever heheheheh. They also have cowhide shields, and fight with knobkerries. I don't think this iron-age style shield would have a place in their history....
Errrmmm... I guess I'm being a bit of a snotty cow, but I'm in that kinda mood today :p
But like I said, cool work so far, there is nothing wrong with your model at all. I just think that he should be sort of generic tribal god, that's all.

Here is the lastest or I guess final image. I'll continue working on it as a side project.
