View Full Version : Volumetric lighting with some strange problems!!!
prayas 03-06-2003, 01:00 AM I made some test for an animation with volumetric lighting and found a really bad result. hopefully somebody can help me. i'll provide a small testfile with the image. it's c4d 7.303. my problem are the artefacts caused by the renderer.

testfile 12 kb (http://www.prayorpanic.com/_up_data/test_light_volume.c4d)
you'll get the data and settings in the c4d file.
thx in advance

thse artifacts are caused by teh sampling of teh volumetric light, you will need to go into teh visible light settings and decrease the sample distance and play around with teh other settings, alternatively just make the light outside of teh "room" much smaller, it doesn't need to illuminate the whole world if you're not goign ot see the whole world.

whoa that was fast my little helper bunny. try this idea right know.
i'll need to illuminate such a large region outside of this room. in this testrender i just showed a testscene. the final scene would be some kind of a church with a light architecture. really hard to describe for me right now. i'll give you an image in later progress.
thx alot
