Title: Sega Genesis (Mega Drive)
Name: Scott Honeycutt
Country: USA
Software: 3ds max, mental ray, Photoshop

Model created with 3ds Max and textures handled in Photoshop. This is an updated render done with mental ray. The model is the oldest in my portfolio as it was done for my first 3d class at Stark State College.

Well, the model looks good!

Nice work, render is not so good, but it was about the modeling.

You could post a wireframe too, one before and one after smoothing.

Here's the wireframe. Hopefully this is what you ment JDMedia. Thanks again.

this one is better fren...u can add a bump map to make the floor a bit realistic.
Carry on...all the best..

the model is very good. the wood should be a little shinier because floors like that are usually varnished and a bump map would help a lot too. the plastic needs to be slightly shinier too if i'm remembering what they look like properly.

I updated the image on my portfolio. I changed the floor a bit. As for the specularity, I've fought with it and can't get it any better than it is now. The ring, "sega" tab, and power/reset strip are the areas with reflection and a tighter glossiness. There is a black environment being reflected (anytime I use reflection the environment shows up big time on the texture). If I tighten the specularity, it becomes hard to see without making the lights too bright.

Thanks a lot

It was the second model released in America, so no it wasn't a 32-bit version. It's the one I have dust all over in my apartment. Thanks for looking.
