That's a very nice render. I have to say my favorite part of it is the texturing and lighting of the front building, especially the area right below the roof.
I don't really have any critiques, I might try a few things.
A little variation in the back building's gray cement area, kind of like the darkening you have near the right window.
A little variation on the back building's right square thingy (very precise I know). It looks sort of freshly painted, unlike the one to the left. The farest right pipe could use a little grime and maybe the 3rd to the right also.
Keep it up,

yeah, ambiance and texturing is cool, but the sky....is no realy finish for me
03-06-2003, 01:21 AM
I will attach the photo...

it looks great, very realistic. It easily passes as the photo, very nice job with the texturing.
baby: GET RID OF THAT ANIMATED AVITAR. Sorry, I just hate animated avitars that just sit there and flicker, no delay. Pica's head is going to fall off :surprised: It would be cute if there was at least half a second between frames.
that's the idea...I wanted it to be even faster...
Pika ? cute ? :wip:

Ok... Give me a moment here, I'm feeling weak...
I guess I will have to say its nice nice nice, nice oh :shame: nice! Love it, the texturing is done very well, and I can't believe the sence of realisme on that one! How did you get the sunlight so realistic, I think I have seen an earlier version of your street somewhere before, is that correct?? Anyway, I love your work, and really shouldn't know where to comment at @ll!!
Bueno, muy buenoo!!
  drop by for a drink !! ( @ B e l g i u m )

love it! great work!!

What you want to do is render some graffiti all over the walls, then render it, and print it out and take it to the owner of the monument, and see how they react :P
03-06-2003, 11:19 AM
very realistic...like the pic better with the new sky!
03-06-2003, 11:33 AM
I was just wondering: how much of the picture is taken directly from the photo and how much is reconstructed by hand?
Especially the lightning - did you just copy the textures with their shadows and light info directly from the photo or have you rather tried to recreate the same look from scratch?
03-06-2003, 12:42 PM
dame that is sweet...i'm wondering what it would look like with just a little depth of feild?
a little break up in the sky would be good
also in the front window on the right...the shadow should get a little darked tword the bottom of the seal...but these are just little things...its a nice piece.
you really did a good job making the roof tiles look randomly placed
i like Entangle's idea

maybe, on the far left of the nearest wall where you have attached the holders for the line, you could make some stains of rust on the wall
Looks really good, thnx for sharing

that is realy great work!!
03-06-2003, 05:45 PM
Sweet :buttrock: :buttrock:
The only thing that kinda got my attencion was that the back building looks kinda pasted on, it has a flat atmosphere and some of the pipes look a little like plastic, try some blur for the back building it should not be so crisp and sharp, and I think that the sky looks verry good with the sun light its a nice clear summer day. Verry good, great work. I agree with Entangle put some graffiti on it and take it to the owners and take a picture of theyr reaction and post that next to the wire frame.

some of the pipes look a little like plastic
I agree, I will fix it
did you just copy the textures with their shadows and light info directly from the photo or have you rather tried to recreate the same look from scratch?
See the texturing methodology:

If it were not for the exhaust pipes on the roofs to solid texturing I would have sworn that first image was a photo. Beautiful, stunningly Beautiful. Great work!:applause:
