Hi everybody!

I choose to model King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) from 300.
As the dvd won't come until the challenge ends it will be hard to make it accurate with lack of sources. A good thing, Gerard Butler has a lot of fan sites so it will be easy to find face references.
His body form changed for this movie you know, so i'll use trailers, making of movies and some imagination for the body. For the props, i hope i can find enough material.

Good luck everyone.

Here is a start.

the helmet of King Leonidas.
It's still early stage. I'll detail it and correct the proportions in the zbrush pass.

I may be wrong (I usually am :p ) but I think at the end of the broom's teeth are longer then you have set it I watched the movie twice so I am pretty sure on this. But nice work and I wouldn't mind taking some time from Legend ( www.legendrpg.com (http://www.legendrpg.com) ) To do some textures if you like.

Thanks simple_minded. The image population on the net about the movie grew larger nowadays, and i think i've saved enough sources to make the model. Also Roberto's post on reference thread became very helpful.
It's time to work on it.

Here is the progress of Leonidas.
I'm using a clear(less poly) version of the other mesh(bruce willis) for this model's head,

Thanks guys! these nice comments motivate me a lot.

tigertiger, yes i'm free nowadays. I'm working on a character modeling reel to get into game industry. This challenge is a good motivation and a chance to add some characters into my portfolio.
