Title: Old City Street
Name: Kim Berkeby
Country: Sweden
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay

This is my first submission here at CG. I have used real photos as reference and modelled everything down to keyhole level. The most detailes in the picture is actually invisible as the image resolution isnīt large enough. All modelling has been done in 3DS MAX 9 x64 on my AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200 + with 4 GB of RAM. The scene consists of about 2 500 000 polygons and have many large and detailed dirtmaps addet to it. Many of the textures in this picture is made from photos I have taken myself with my digital camera. All texture editing has been done in the software Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro.

The car and the people in the scene is added from the Dosch library.

I wanted to get the picture a rainy feeling, but still making it pretty calm. The rendering is made with VRay 1.5.

Hi Kim, Very beautiful. Great modeling, great material, very facinating lighting, fantastic rendering.
Only one thing I want to say about the material of the red building. You can decrease the bump. It is looking very grainy.

I can't understand why people did'nt pass any coments and did'nt gave vote on this beautiful artwork:scream:

Hi,

Seems you have put lot of effort in it ... its really good except the red wall texture which looks bit weird. Good Luck and keep posting. Did you use Vray sun on Direct light ... ? Would really appreciate if you post your render settings.

Really great image, very detailed and great textures. Only thing to point has been already said, the bump of the red building and the images of the car and people donīt fit too good. The modeling is awesome but those photos make the image look digital. Anyway great work, congrats.

BTW. the car in the render is actually a 3D model.

The watermaterial is a simple highly reflective black V-ray material. Nothing special at all really.
