Here is a way to boost Messiahs vieport performance. It is especially usefull on complex character riggs when the playback rate drops considerably.

1. Load Messiah and then load your most complex scene.
2. Hit play.
3. While the scene is playing go to File->Load and select the same scene (yes load it again).

Now the scene should play 200% faster.

Tips: it works only if you have multi core system
if you don't see the difference set Play step to the lowest possible value = 0.01 to get the smoothest possible playback or load more complex scene
I tested this with fxs scene files only

What happens is that Messiah normaly uses only one core for interface and playback. With this trick it uses two cores thus is twice as fast. To check this open task manager and see for yourself.

I have tested this on AMD X2 2.2 and Dual Xeon Dual Core 5160 3.0 and it really works.

WOW! How did you figure that one out?

So, if pmg can get messiah to access the other cores, I can look forward to 4 times the performance????? (2 dual core cpu's). That would be utterly amazing!!!

Is this for real? It's not the 1st April yet?

Well it is real for me. Did you test it on your system ? Please test it and tell me your results.

I can't get Messiah to work on all 4 cores, just 2 of them, but it is still 200% faster then 1 core.
