Okay. I have to speed up Photoshop. I think I usually want to make finished 2D images at a size of 24x15 inches. What resolution should I be working at? And Also how can I speed up the program?

dude, that's pretty damn big. If you are doing print media, you want something in the range of 150DPI to 300 DPI. If this is screen only, 72DPI.

To speed up the program ... you won't. That's HUGE. The only way to get the best performance is to have an incredibly fast scratch disk, some fast and large quantities of memory and a good CPU. There are a lot of diff things to go through to tweak out ur system, but that's the idea.

Speed up Photoshop:
Increase the amount of memory available to Photoshop (Preferences)
Decrease the the number of history levels (Preferences)

if you're working on large images for print you don't need a large
resolution. 72 is ok. only small prints (eg. magazine ad, campaign
flyers, ect.) need a larger resolution.

hope this helps...
