I agree. The composition is static, flat, the colours just blend together, and the characters look as if they've all been cut-and-pasted into the frame together with no real interaction. And what's with the texture on the big S? I know these things get made in a drawn out committee/assembly line manner, but surely a single artist could do better?

Common theme then, as the first poster I remember for the first movie looked pretty much the same.

Yes, they've been consistently bad.

I guess thats what happens when you have graphic design-wonks doing print work for animation.

Is there a reason for this film to even exist?
I'm betting the PDI lawyers have cross-marketing deals with fast food and toy corporations inked well into Shrek 2,981.
Can't...wait...?

Are they(shrek 1 and 2) up there with the best from other studios? no....but for me they are entertaining nonetheless. And the audience seems to think so too if we are having a third, fourth and possibly fifth film.
Whatever pays the bills too. :)
As for the poster, nothing great...the same as before. But as long as the movie is entertaining....

i for one, am super excited about this film -- got to see an extended preview over at dreamworks just a few weeks back...anywho, i do kind of agree about the posters being rather static--they almost dont do the movie justice--i wonder if this is the poster we are going to see at the theatres?
I don't get it. What's he upset about in the poster? The fact that he's wearing a crown or the fact that's he being used in another sequel?
