Hi, all

I've problem into messiah. I modeled my objects in Modo and imported all in messiah, i exported all in *.lwo and *.obj before, with this two kind of files uv's are not relaxed, stiff edges, tense lines ruins the UVs.
is there any tips to solve this slut problem. :)
Thank ahead.

David.

You have to paint or texture your model in a SubD state. Zbrush is the only solution I know that can do that.

ALTHOUGH. . . a friend of mine who is working with me on a project (David Hopkins) has figured out a really cool way around the problem.

Lets say your doing a face. Its all done and ready to texture.

Save out a version of the face and call it "Target".

Then in Modeler, move the points around on the face as you would a UV map. All flayed out. Screen grab that. . . Load that screen grab into a paint program paint your texture. . . and then PROJECT the image you painted onto the flayed out face. No UVs. Save your face model.

Now in Messiah, load up your face, SubD it and you should not see any distortion. THEN apply a Morph Blender effect to pull the face back into the intended shape with the "Target" object you saved way back at the beginning of the process.

No distortion from UVs. No need to buy Zbrush (Although I did and I'm slowly learning its advantages).

That's cool!
i try this, seems to be really nice way to kill the problem.
I tried to divide some part of the object where distortions are really bad, it almost work but it's not perfect.
Thanks.

David.
