Hi, im pretty new to this forum, so first of all id like to big up all the great artists posting on the forum, i've seen loads of great stuff here.

Anyway,

i wanted to see what you guys thought about this self portrait ive been working on for a little while...

That does look nice, but I'd like to see a bigger better rendering of it. I can almost feel the bone structure underneath the skin.

i really cant critique it since your doing your own head ;-)
But it looks good, way to get the impressions in your head,
as betelgeuse said, you can almost feel a bone structure.

Not having a picture of you to compare it against, I'd say it is great job.

I doubt, however, that your philtrum (the depression between your nose and upper lip) is quite that pronounced. And it appears that it's imparting a little projecting shelf at the top of the upper lip.

And the depression on either side of the frontal bone area may be a little exaggerated?

The eyes and nose are really well done. The head overall has a great sense of mass. You really sense that there's hard and soft tissue underneath.

I'd like to see it from a more 3/4 view and with textured eyeballs.:thumbsup:
