i graduated from a school here in edmonton called dev studios. i would like to hear you comments regarding my potential as a 3d animator and a 3d modeler.

You have potential....in video games.
If you don't get job offers in your first round of applications add some acting pieces with spoken lines to go along with the walk cycles that you have. You can cut the gun. Doesn't really help your cause, so exchange that with more character or bot animation instead.
Good job keeping it simple and good luck.

Well your animation is pretty cool. If animation is your key specialisation id say stick with it. I agree about dropping the gun model as you have it turn around like 6 times in your clip. Its kinda un-needed. Stick with animation IMO, or have more models with less turn arounds. Its coming along nicely man keep sticking with it.

Really good animation
You can cut the gun though...
Song is a little annoying (since it doesn't change, it's just one beat over and over again with a synthesized voice saying the same thing over and over again.)
One little thing:
In the end it says you use Maya 7 and "After Effects 0.7" Do you really use an old dated version of AE from 1993? Did you mean 7? =D

Ya, I agree, get rid of the gun. The animation was really quite good. Also I agree the music was slightly annoying.

as everyone is already saying you should drop the gun, it feels like it drags the reel down at the end just focus on your animations unless you have at least 3 REALLY good models. Your robot animations were freakin awesome i loved that quadriped the best... you need a lil more work on the character animations of the lowman rig but just minor fixes the cane walk looked good its just the arm thats holding the cane didnt feel right. record yourself walking with a cane to see what im talking about. all in all the robot animations looked good enough to get you an offer i suggest doing more of those and practicing with the character rig a little more. Record yourself lifting, throwing, carrying, hitting, and leaning on things and copy what you see till it feels right, i found thats the best practice to do. Again the robot animations ROCKED!!! good luck on the job hunt
