Hey fellow CGTalkers, I was just wondering if there was a way to learn about muscles and how they can be proptionately placed onto some character-sketches. When I draw some muscles, I usually get the feeling that I'm just "randomly placing lines". I am also having problems with shading though I have sketched/shade spheres, rectangular prisms, and other shapes that are three-dimensional. My main concern about shading is that I don't know where to place my shades even though I know where my lightsource is coming from. It's as if I can't visualize the "3-D'ness" in my drawings. May someone please help me with my shading problems and proportions (body)? Many thanks for some help in advance.

PS. I've been stuck for months on this.
