You missed the big bit, which cpu? Youll need to look at 45w as a starting point. if you have an inefficient old cpu like a p4 then 500+

For what its worth, I used a 350W antec for over 4 years on a system with 6 hard drives and an Athlon XP :)

It didn't have that beefy of a video card (file storage mainly) But you would be fine on a 400W or higher I'd think. Probably look at a seasonic in the 450W range, should be plenty.

Ive run 2x244's on a Tyan K8W, Quadro FX3000, 4GB PC2700, Promise SX6000, 9 HDDs, a DVDRW, 3x120mm & 2x80mm fans off a PC Power and Cooling 510AG

Watts is a very deceptive measure of power however
as is how a given manufacturer arrives at their ratings

far better to determine what amps you need
then look for reputable manufacturers that provide at least a basic derating curve

if you want to list your full hardware, I can help you run down the amp per rail profile

the motherboard is an asus939 deluxe, 4x512 3200 ram, 1x200gb hard drive,
3x320 gb hard drive, 4x500gb hard drive, 1 6600gt, 1 black magic design pci card, and
probably 1 pci-e adaptec 1430 raid card. right now i have a antec 450 power supply, i am wondering if that is enough.

thanks
phil
