These are the rules:

You have 30 MN for your sketch. IF you go beyond the assigned time limit , you have to post WHATEVER you have done after the time has expired, along with the FINAL drawing.
Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
RESOLUTION : The image can have any aspect ratio up to 800 x 600
They can be done on any medium.
If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
You can post an entry at anytime for the topic presented on this thead BEFORE the voting thread for THE WEEK has been posted.
The artist also has to post total length of time it took and program used.
Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
The topics will be picked at random from the list on the TOPICS thread >>LINK<< (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php/?t=145003)
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them).
Good Luck

Sjimmie (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=112606) : great, stylish work - from a fellow Dutchman! :D
xodibox (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=157841) : very nice, stylefull work, with great brushwork! The rimlight makes it look quite dynamic.
burpy (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=212917) : nice attempt! Looks quite regonizable!
kevinwalker (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=122279) : original work! Interesting character - great style!
doomtoo (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=39535) : did you draw it by mouse, in MS Paint? With a tablet and Painter/Photoshop, you could paint more stylefull, I think. It's quite good for someone who doesn't paint that much digitally, and hasn't done is for monts!:bounce: Maybe you should color it one day?
AndyDay (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=145709) : nice, moodfull work! Maybe you could had brought down the contrast a bit, and paint some little very bright spots (specular), so that the painting gets more dynamic? (For instance those windows could had been brighter?)
Ransom (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=55295) : nice work! I don't think I'd like to meet him ;)
goertzen_frank (http://forums.cgsociety.org/member.php?u=52301) : nice done! I like the way you shaded the face with those levels of gray! Maybe you could better have left that blurtool (for the background) to the side, and blur it by hand (sampling a bit around). I think the blurtools gives a painting something artificial - it breaks the (nice!!) style.

It has been an awfull long time ago since I posted something creative over here - time for something new from me!

Photoshop 7 + cheap tablet

He's not very ganster, but I think if I met him on street, I'd call him a ganster afterwards...! I'm not very satisfied by it, but at least I'm back here. :wavey:
