Hey there!

I need to do a deformation on a grid of a layer I did in photoshop...
I think that ER would be a good soft as it has been used for a long time in the industry, I am not sure that Photoshop has such tools for precise deformation...
Do you know where I can find tutorials for ER 3.0?
is there another soft that can be used for this kind of 2D deformation?

for example, I have a picture of a used bas relief, inperspective, but also not straight enought for a mapping in 2D. the Edit layer mode in photoshop has only 4 points to control the deformaiton, this is not enought for what I need...

thanks

I am not sure, that I understand correctly what you are looking for, but with the edit / transform / warp / custom tool you have 16 points to control the deformation of the layer (not just 4).
This functionality you have in PS CS2 and CS3.

Try to get the CS3 beta. It´s for free (…at least for CS2 users). In my opinion it´s faster in many operations than CS2. And it has some new useful tools for mattepainting i.e. for cloning etc…!

Mesh warps a really cool tool though I wish you could input the grid size. 4x4, 8x8 etc ..
