Troydm 03-30-2002, 05:44 PM This is for Maya users only !!!
I need i little your help !!! I am testing my light script but
i don't have a lot of models to test it . It creates light set that
renders with a GI effect !!! If you have time and good models
just download the script(20k) from my site and test render with it your models . And don't forget to send me your results here
dmitry_627@mail.ru . This will help me to improve the script and add new things to it !!!

Without sounding too sappy, this is great that u got two fOO's from two coutries working together via net on a CG project. This is the way we ought to be, but NO, we're destroying one another over stOOpid things like oil... Anyway, I won't spew too muchee and give peeps heart attack. Yo, listen up...Imma getting Maya soon, the price is within my reach finally. So, what do you guys use to do this, Complete or Unlimited?(which is out of range for the moment)... And what type of machines Unix or Windows? The head model is fantastic, was it done using sub d or nurbs? Ed---

hey Troydm, I tried your mel script & i really liked it. Im not that experienced a modeller, but the fake gi definitely helps!

thanks for ur wonderful script. this gives me an alternative rather than relying on GI-Joe from pixho.com.
anyway, i find that the rendering speed with ur script dome lights can be faster than GI-Joe. might be because of the amout of lights. usually i create about 128 lights. but urs sorta nice with fewer lights. this is a WIP for my god/devil challenge.

btw, i hope u can intergrate the HDRI features in to ur script. i've found another hdr script for maya from highend3d.com name RealfakeGI which doesn't cast shadow. well, i believe it can be a nice blend in to ur script if u manage to find out how to do it.
for more image which i rendered with ur script. see my thread for this month challenge.
