why does the coolermaster cost more?

Good question. That black Lian-Li is my dream case. Minus the side window.

[edit] Worst thing is they sell it across the street from where i work for $200 with WHITE buttons. As if life wasn't frustrating enough.

different brands/features/quality/specs = different prices. pretty simple concept really.

Lian-Li is a masterpiece of industrial design. What's Coolermaster?

If li-lian is a corvette, Coolermaster is a ferrari.

The coolermaster cases follow similar design concepts to li-lian, but different quality levels of the alumnium they use in their cases. The main difference in price is due to the thickness of the alumnium used. Many li-lians tend to be on the thin side when it comes to alumnium, while coolermaster will tend to put upwards of 10mm of alumnium on the front facades.

It all varies by model though. I love both companies, I just feel coolermaster has the higher build quality.

i would go lian-li , i have the same case as that, but its the silver alluminum one. Very nice case, its got plenty of fans, and they are all pretty quite. Plus the heat dissapation is great, and it looks very nice as well.

You can also get lian-li alluminum face plates for you cdrom/dvd drives so that they dont stand out. I was lucky enought to have pioneer dvd drive which they had an face plate that matched perfectly :-)

i can post pics if you want

any case i buy i'm just going to chop into little bits and cover with fans and dust filters and then spray paint anyway, so i'd never spend more than $US35 on any case ever. :)

Elvis,

You should look into those chieftech models then. Lots of room for heavy moddin, cheap, easy access/usability.
