Derek!
yoyoyoyooyoyo~
Compare the older version, it looks so much better.
hahahaha, I like you change the background whereby he is in the cave talking.
You have a good reel, with Action moment, and not forgetting lipsycn too.
And the render look good.
Wish you all the best!
Good luck in your job hunting~ :buttrock:
*Special thanks: For helping me during schooling time. heheheh

hi Derekkkk
sory for late reply, I ve been very busy late days,
anyway, congratulations for ur animation reel, I love the feels of it
but if you allow me to crits ,maybe some word will improve ur work in the future
about the lipsync, I love the body acting, it feels so panicking
however, I dont feel facial movement as energic as the body movement.
the renders quality in the jungle is so awesome.
and the texture has good feels also,
but I think, in my personal oppinion, if you can simplify that elements
you could focus more in your animation, and make more and better effort in your animation
thats all my crits, hopefully you like it :)
good luck man, and keep improving
sorry for late reply.

Hey Derek,
Nice animation reel man. Congratulations on finishing up a tough year. I think it came together really well. I like the shadows in your environment and how the shadow of the dragon/beast glides across your character before you reveal it. Nicely done.
Good luck with the job hunt and keep in contact.

Hey,
Good reel. I like the concept. There was some good animtion in there but I felt it was pretty floaty alot of the time. Your Main poses were good but the inbetween stuff needs work. Don't over animate your stuff. The sequence where he jumps into the jungle is a good example. He drops in and immediatly starts floating and hitting poses that don't need to be there. If he landed in a great pose and just stood there maybe with his head searching around cautiously it would have alot more impact as oppose. If you have the time and the ambition you should definetly go back and re work some stuff. Your reel is short and that's great but make sure it full of the best stuff you can do. Don't worry about rendering or anything else just concentrate on the aniamtion slap a quicktime together and throw it on a CD. That'll get you the job you want. Great work though for your first time and good luck with your job search!

Hey all,
I appreciate all the posts.
Xvamp - Thanks for the comments and crit, ya next time I will definately refrain from rendering and attempting to make it so aestheticly pleasing :)
Assim - Thanks for the post, I tried my best for the volumetric light to give off some good shadow effect, so I'm glad someone liked it ;)
Nickfredin - Thanks for the crit, right now im working on a little project so hopefully it will be a nice small add on to my reel. I will definately keep your comments in mind!
Thanks all!
Derek
