I use 3ds Max 8 and have been having a really difficult time with something that seems like a glitch. and up until now I have dealt with it, but I cant take it anymore. Whenever I link editable poly's or editable meshes together in a chain, (such as a segmented charachter leg with a thigh segment and then a calve/shin segment, and a foot) and I rotate one of the parant joints, the rest of the joints distort terribly.
Is there any way I can avoid this? It is interfering severely with a custom rig I have been wanting to put together.
