Hey Bugo,
Are you sure you have the right version of the plugin? The name of the plugin I have for Maya 4.5 is: fbxmaya45.mll

Okey dokey. I'm just not sure where the name fbxexport37 came from as I can't see that anywhere. The plugin loads fine on my setup so that was the only thing I could think of that could be causing a problem. Maybe it is conflicting with another plugin you may have. Try unloading some other plugins and see if that makes a difference.

Some friends and I have the same problem at school.
For some reason the FBX plugin crashes Maya when you try to load it. It does that only on some PCs and we haven't found any solution for it.

You have to put the plugin in the FIRST plugin path that Maya uses. If you open the plugin-manager you will se wich paths that are used. In my case the first path is: C:/Documents and Settings/my username/My Documents/maya/4.5/plug-ins
And my second path is C:/Program Files/AliasWavefront/maya4.5/bin/plug-ins
I had the plugin in the second path first and had the same problem, but solved it by mooving it to the first path (in my Documents and Settings...)
I guess you also could change the order of the paths in the Enviroment variables, but I find it easier to simply move the plugin instead.

I have the same problem, enable the Plug-in in the plugin-in manager , then crash!

Me too. I am always trying to promote FBX since it has helped me out many times. But I haven't managed to get it to work. I'll try moving it to the "My documents"-folder.

Wow! It worked:eek:
The strange thing is that the plug is put there by the installation, so you don't have any choice... This is clearly a bug. Anyone from Kaydara on the board?

I had the same problem with 3.7, I just used the previous version (3.6something I think, right underneath it on the download page) and it worked fine.
