View Full Version : a fixe image from an animation !

Hello,

I would like to know how to create a fixe image from a animation ".mov" (or other!)
inside the composition window ?

EXEMPLE:
At the end of a composition, I want to keep some seconds the last frame of an animation.
(Now I am extracting the image as a TIF but it's a lot of operations....)

Try Time remapping, it's located in the Layers menu.

first of all precompose your animation (mov file) and then extend the duration as needed.
then put this precomp to another composition. right click on the layer and go to Time > Enable Time Remapping
. next go to the frame in time you want to freeze, click on Make new Keyframe icon (little yellow dimond between two arrows), right-click on created keyframe and select Hold Key Frame.

now you'll have your animation going all the way to the Hold keyframe and then it stops.

You can also duplicate the layer you are working on, go to the time where your frame should hold and right-click (or through menus) Time>Freeze Frame
