View Full Version : displacement maps

I have created a shirt in maya and taken it into mudbox to create all the creases and folds and what not. I am running into problems when it comes to creating my displacement maps though. I have followed Ash-man and his video tutorial but when I hit the start operation to create the displacement maps it starts to calculate but seems to get stuck and nothing happens.

If anyone has any thoughs or ideas it would be much appreciated.

hmm... i would say bad uvs...
are there overlaps or points outside the 0-1 uv space..?

You might want to check your mesh selections as well, for example the base mesh to extract from and the high-res mesh.
