View Full Version : dt3d shaders and mr 3.5 64bit

just a question about the 64bit issue.

I mean, i thought that the compatibility of plugs and shader between maya 8.5 32bit and 64bit is only an issue of the dll files used.

but in the shader "magic" - there are no dlls at all. I'm useing a 64bit version of maya/mr and I grabbed last night - btw thx guyz for your great work - some dt3d shaders from highend3d like lafortune or car paint shader and installed them properly. 100% sure. I mean I did all the things described in the install procedure. the shaders work on a 32bit system like a charm.

but anyhow - they aint working on 64bit workflow. i get an error message:

api error: call to undeclared funtion "dt3d_lafortune"
api error: while defining material "dt3d_lafortune1SG": undefined shader....

so is my being "100% sure" just a big mistake? or are those shaders really incompatible with a 64bit system? is there a way to work it out? or do the really need to be "compiled from the scratch" for a 64bit thing? i guess haveing the same issues with ctrl_studio shaders.
