Hey folks, proud to release information on my instructional video I'm just wrapping up for the global illumination aspect surrounding Final Render 2. If there is any requests or inquiries about what you might want to see done, how something works, or why this does that etc, feel free to drop it in this thread. The video will be made available for download and cost $20.00 USD for a little over 1 hour. Things to be covered:
-Interior Illumination
-Exterior shots
-Car Illumination shots
-Differences between internal FR2 engines
-Intricate details surrounding specific settings and options

Expected release date is right around April 20th

One of the pains-in-the-ass I deal with a lot (nature of CAD geometry) is dealing with fine edges and details. I'm not sure why, but fR seems to not handle this detail well where you have many fine geometry lines be it insets or even intersecting geomtry.

Think of a grill, or a plane with many intersecting boxes. I find it can take some tuning to kill the blotchies.

Useful for a tutorial I think, especially those new to the fR GI engine.

I am especially interested in the car shots. Could you post some pictures of them so that I can decide if I buy your video?

You will add examples in .c4d format or will be a video tutorial?...

Unfortunately I cannot include .c4d files, as I'm using purchased products from Dosch Design and Evermotion for the video. The video will be in 3 formats. Flash, Divx, and H264(mov).

When will it be available circa?

I'm interested in the interior part, (not using colormapping to get white walls and lit rooms) for instance

hey DynamicRealism, i am mostly interested on interior lighting
& the use of ies data.
actually what i am looking for is realistic as possible interior shoots, without the use of post-effects.

So far we have 2 car shots, an exterior still + animation, 2 interior stills, setting overview of GI system. Up until the end of the week to get more requests =D .
