View Full Version : Sky for an ocean background
Narem 03-12-2007, 09:50 AM Hi Fellows.
Can anyone give me a tip how I can create a realistic ocean/sky scene?
I'm not quite satisfied with my example here.

I think ur going right.. but the main problem ur facing is dat "it doesn't give any depth to ur image". I would say to give some far fog n depth of field to ur image n also scale ur sea bit more so dat the far waves get blends wid the horizen ... and also change the color of the sea as it doesn't match wid da sky as well..... use some real refference images to make it live....
Thankzzzz

Hi Rahul
Thanks for your tips. Looks pretty nice with depth of fields now. But I don't know what you mean with "create some far fog". How can i do that?

i think you are too many wave at the far sea. i think you can make the noise of wave is not too high and much under the sky, because you cannot see much clear when the sea is too far from your eyes.

far fog can be made by fluid in maya. you can find some finished scene in the visor in maya. that is not too difficult to set it .
