I'm working on a jade Buddha for the scene I'm starting on. I painted what I think is a very nice jade texture, and I'm using it with SSS skin. While it looks nice as it stands, I'm not satified with it. What I want is that kind of translucency that jade has. Granted, not all jade is translucent, and most jade Buddhas aren't, but I'd at least try to get it. But I was on a crappy computer that died and the replacement is crappy too but not as much, so I've never really used the EEE shaders before, so I'm not sure how to accomplish what I want. I was hoping maybe some of y'all out there could give me some tips on how to find the translucency.
